Course: CHR200K17 – Chair Making Basics
Prerequisite: Fundamentals III or equivalent
In this course students will build a traditional style side chair. The design will incorporte mortise and tenon joinery.
All aspects of chair making will be covered.
- using the right joint for the application
- round tenon stretchers
- angled tenons
- angled back support
- gluing up the sub assemblies
- and final assembly
