Course: FTW200A18 - Fundamentals of Traditional Woodworking II

The second class in our Fundamentals series, this course builds additional skills with both power and hand tools, including sharpening techniques. Students will practice several types of joints and will apply their skills by building a small bench. Edge jointing, shaping with spoke shaves, and surface preparation for finishing are also covered. Sharpening and shop safety are continually reinforced, as well as all of the techniques learned in the previous segment.

Schedule: Evening classes, 6:00pm – 9:00pm, M-W-Th, for four weeks (36 hrs of instruction total). There will be additional shop time available as needed to work on the exercises.
